Moreover, AKF receives applications only from those countries where it has its affiliates or branches for scholarship application processing. Following are the developing countries where it has branches: Pakistan, Afghanistan, Syria, Egypt, Tajikistan, Tanzania, UK, USA, Madagascar, France, Kenya, Mozambique, and Canada.

Scholarship Benefits:

AKF Scholarships is offering following wonderful benefit to students of developing countries including:

It is awarding tuition waivers, and living expenses. However, it is not providing the travel cost. In addition, aspirants have additional funding in order to apply for Aga Khan Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships.

Please note that half of the scholarship will give as a loan to the aspirants. However, students have to pay annual installments with 5% interest. The payback period for this loan is 5 years and a guarantor is required to co-sign the loan contract. While the payback period will start after six months of commencing the postgraduate studies.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • An aspirant must under the age of 30 years.
  • An aspirant must have outstanding academic record, and authentic financial needs.
  • All aspirants must be e thoughtful and have strong career objectives.
  • All applicants must be involved in extracurricular activities during the undergraduate studies.
  • All applicants must have some work experience regarding their fields of study.
