DAAD RISE Program:

The DAAD RISE Program affiliates with universities and research institutions of Germany to fund and provide scholarships for North American and British students for their short term research stays in Germany. The students opting for this scholarship should have been done with their second year of graduation from an America, Canadian or British University. This funding by the DAAD aims to encourage PhD students in their experimental work. The funding id time framed for a period of 2 to 3 months in Germany. This is a great platform for students to gain superb hands on research experience.

DAAD is offering summer internships to undergraduate students in Germany for American and Canadian Students. DAAD will cover for health and accident insurance of the applicant. He fellows of RISE will cooperate with doctoral students in their research projects.

Eligibility:

  • The applicant should be a PhD student enrolled in one the Universities of Germany or Germany research institutions in any of the following study fields: biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, earth and life sciences or any other study field that has implications of applied mathematics.
  • The applicant should submit a letter of approval for forwarding the job offered to people who are interested along with project mates and sponsors including any other related information
  • The applicant has looked after the designated scholarship awardees both professionally and resourcefully. The applicant should be able to handle bureaucratic matters and if required recreational events and activities as well.

  • The applicant should give a precise description of his or her research project in English, the project should encompass science-based research question, fundamental experimental approach, common errands to be performed by the research supporter, Logo and contact details in the header or footer, common details regarding the working team, the university and the region.
  • The applicant should also send a confirmation letter written by the supervisor of the research group
  • The applicant should also send all the other required documents
