Oxford University Clarendon Scholarships For Pakistani Students 2015

Introduction to Scholarship:

The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and Oxford University are in cooperation offering financial aid for scholarships awards IDB Oxford Clarendon Scholarships for graduate international students who belong to IDB member countries.

Introduction to Scholarship Providing Body:

The Islamic Development Bank was made in 1973. The purpose of establishing this bank was to promote the social progress and economic development of its member countries.

Objectives of Scholarships:

These Scholarship programs would facilitate academically brilliant students to pursue their degree programs at Oxford and also could be able to contribute to the development of socio-economic conditions in their own countries. These Scholarship opportunities are provided jointly by the University of Oxford and Islamic Development Bank (IDB).

  • The candidates must apply in order to start a new full-time graduate degree level course in the fields of Mathematics, Physical and Life Sciences (MPLS), Medical Sciences and Social Sciences.
  • Candidates must belong to any of the above mentioned IDB member countries  and IDB must nominated the candidates for the scholarship, by submitting the successful applications to the related IDB Governor office through the nominating institute.
  • Since this Scholarship program is offered jointly by Clarendon Fun ; therefore, all candidates must have applied to get admission in Oxford and must be selected for the Clarendon Scholarship.
  • The candidates won’t be eligible for these scholarships who want to apply for Postgraduate Certificates or Diploma courses of Postgraduate level, part-time courses, to those students who are with deferred entry  or for non-matriculated courses.


  • The IDB-Oxford Clarendon Scholarship would provide grants for students of: 100% free fee of university and college and
  • A grant for the living costs of student (at least £13,726).
  • Awards are offered for the full duration course of a candidate’s fee charges for the approved course. The annual continuation of the student’s scholarship is conditioned to an annual renewal process which is based on agreeable academic development.

How to Apply For Scholarship:

  • The candidates can apply directly to IDB
  • Candidates should have been selected by the IDB and by the University of Oxford for a Clarendon Fund Scholarship, by the corresponding selection procedures of both institutes, so that to be able to receive this Scholarship.

Terms & Conditions

  • If, following the assessment process of the January deadline applications, the department puts on a waiting list or choose to reconsider it against those applications which are received for the next deadline (14 March 2014), then these students won’t be eligible for the scholarship.
  • If the candidates are accepted for selected course, they must visit the official website immediately to receive the scholarship.
  • The candidates are not allowed to change the course.
