The Oxford Lady Gore Booth Graduate Scholarship are an initiative set by the University of Oxford to give students holding strong academic records to take advantage of a fully funded scholarship.

the scholarships are tenable to students who have done a good job in their past academics and who have the ability to share their contribution to the Oxford University’s milestone researches. The Oxford Lady Gore Booth Graduate Scholarship will contribute 40% towards an individual’s scholarship and the balancing 60% will be covered from funds the University of Oxford receives from various donors and well wishers of the University and the colleges associated with it.

Introduction to Scholarship Providing Body:

The University of Oxford is a promising English University with reputable name worldwide. Prospect Burma co created the Oxford Lady Gore Booth Memorial Scholarship as a token of respect and love for late Lady Gore Booth who served education from her generous charities before her demise in the year 2012. She was tittles as Prospect Burma’s vie chair and vice patron.

Prospect Burma visions for a bring future and are pursuit of making this dream come true from their young citizens. Since its existence about 1500 scholarships have been awarded under the name of ‘Keeping the flame of education alive’. This has served as a platform for greater educational opportunities which are unfortunately not available to Burma due to lack of resources. This program results as a strong relationship between Burma and the University of Oxford.

Initially it is for one year, if a course extends the period of one year than the scholarship will be extended depending on academic performance of the student.

Eligibility:

  • The aspirant shall apply for a Masters course in one of the aforementioned categories
  • The aspirant should stand up to the selection criteria mentioned in the ‘course guide’. The course guide can be accessed from the official website
  • The aspirant can pursue the scholarship only at St Huhg’s College. If they aspirant had another preference, it will not be considered since the Lady Gore Booth Scholarships are only available at the St Hugh’s College
  • The aspirant will be chosen for the scholarship on their academics
  •  Any late entries will not be entertained

How to Apply For Scholarship:

  • Aspirants who abide by the deadlines will automatically be considered as a scholarship candidate
  • If there are any changes in courses made at the beginning of the scholarship, the designated authorities shall be readily informed so that the scholarship can be transferred to the new chosen courses. There are particular courses where this scholarship in not tenable.
