Swedish Scholarships for International scholarships:

Swedish Institute grants scholarships to outstanding international students of developing counties who desire to instigate their graduate and postgraduate studies at Sweden Higher Education Institutions and Universities. However, Swedish Institute is mostly offering scholarships of Master Level with a small number of Bachelor Degree Scholarships.

However university will callĀ  for next Swedish Institute Study Scholarships in the month of December 2015 for master programmes starting September 2016.

Swedish Institute is awarding approximately 140 scholarships to the international students. According to Swedish Government policy, not more than 25% scholarships will offer to each country.

Offered Study Fields:

Swedish University is offering about 600 study fields regarding Bachelors and Masters Degree. However, view the list of study fields eligible for Swedish Institute Scholarships.

Who can apply?

Students of developing countries including Zambia, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Mali, , Cambodia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Burkina Faso, Tanzania, and Uganda .

Aspirants with nationality from countries on the DAC list of ODA receiver except Georgia, Kosovo, Moldova Albania, Belarus, Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Former, Russia, Serbia, and Ukraine.

In addition, nationals of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, and Moldova, can apply within the Visby Program.

Residents from Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Kosovo and Serbia can apply within the program SI Scholarships for East Europe. Moreover, nationals of Turkey can apply within the Swedish-Turkish Scholarship Program.

Scholarship Benefits

Swedish Institute is offering following benefits to the international students including:

It is offering tuition fee directly to Swedish Institute as well as living allowance of SEK of 9000 monthly. In addition, it is also offering one time travel ling allowance of SEK 15,000.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • An aspirant must not have both Swedish citizenship and work permit.
  • Aspirants must not already have Masters Degree from any Swedish Institution/University.
  • An aspirant must not already enroll in any Graduate Program or Masters Degree in any Swedish Institution.
