A TOEFL® scholarship provides the opportunity to study at any of the institutions that are more than 8,500+ listed in the TOEFL® Destinations Directory. The TOEFL scholarship program is planned to give an award to TOEFL test takers for attaining educational brilliance, showing leadership abilities, performing extracurricular activities and having great command of English-communication. TOEFL English test takers who want to apply for this scholarship must presently be residing in Mainland China, India, Japan, Korea or Taiwan.
ETS is a nonprofit private organization that provides quality and impartiality in education for international students by making evaluation that is based on accurate research. Moreover, they carry out research, policy studies and educational research and analysis.

Scholarship Benefits

The grants for TOEFL scholarships program provide the tuition fee expenses of the students who will study abroad. This grant will be issued after the registration of the student with the study institution and arrival in the university.

Eligibility Criteria:

The TOEFL Scholarship award is offered to those students who have a brilliant academic record and following things as well:

  • Must be able to communicate in English
  • Must have powerful leadership skills
  • Must have participated in extracurricular activities, like have worked in community service
  • Must have reflected innovative ideas in their essays
  • Must be living presently in the country from they are applying.
  • Must be commencing undergraduate or graduate studies in 2014 at any of the universities or the colleges that are mentioned in the TOEFL® Destinations Directory.
  • Must have a grade point minimum of 80 or higher out of 100-point scale or a 3.0 point-scale out of 4.0 point scale. For the students of high school in Korea, they have a level of 13 on a 9-level point scale in three subjects of previous semester.
  • Must have a convincing TOEFL test score that is used as the basic requirement for getting admissions into undergraduate or graduate programs.
  • Must have Completed the online application form and upload their transcripts.

Key Reminder

The students who don’t live in above mentioned countries, they won’t be eligible for the TOEFL scholarship award. The students are advised to visit the official website of the scholarship for further details. ETS will assess the applications that would be based on TOEFL scores.
The best applications will be secretly assessed by two autonomous raters from the higher education sector in the location of each applicant.
