The Singapore Government offers awards for South East Asian students,these scholarships are for  Government-endorsed students from the member countries of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN). This Scholarship is being provided for full-time undergraduate degrees (excluding the fields of medicine and dentistry) at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Singapore Management University (SMU). This scholarship program is a Government-to-Government scheme, where the Singapore Government doesn’t require any obligations by the students. The students of this scholarship award are expected to return their home countries and contribute to the development process there upon graduation. However, it would be up to the relevant ASEAN countries to inflict any conditions for this award on their selected  scholars for this  Scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria:

The Students belong to ASEAN member countries can apply for this scholarship award.
The applicants must have an excellent educational record, must have a good command of the English language and be able to meet the entrance requirements for NTU, NUS and SMU. That include:

• Brunei Darussalam

– Must have completed the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level that should be passed in English and 3 ââ‚ËœA’ level subjects as well

• Cambodia

– Presently going through 1st or 2nd year of undergraduate studies in a local university of Cambodian

• Indonesia

– Must have completed Indonesia SMU Ujian Akhir Nasional (UAN)
Lao People’s Democratic Republic
– Presently going through 1st or year of undergraduate studies in a local university of Laotian

• Malaysia

– Must have completed Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM)
–Must have completed General Certificate of Education Advanced Level that should be passed in English and 3 ‘A’ level subjects as well
– Must have completed UEC examinations

• Myanmar

– Must have completed as a minimum 1st or 2nd year of undergraduate studies in a local university of Myanmar

• Philippines

– Presently going through 1st or 2nd year of undergraduate studies in a local university of Filipino

• Thailand

– Must have completed Thai Mathayom 6 examinations

• Vietnam

– presently going through 1st or 2nd year of undergraduate studies in a local university of Vietnam

Key Reminder

The applicants are directed to get their forms from the Singapore Embassy/Consulate General or High Commission in their capital cities.
